Tom Mehlhoff, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at Texas Orthopedic Hospital in Houston, performed hand surgery on Houston Astros outfielder J.D. Martinez, according to an MLB report.
Dr. Mehlhoff operated on Mr. Martinez to remove debris from the hamate bone in his left hand. Mr. Martinez will be sideline for four to six weeks.
