Heinz Hoenecke, MD, a sports medicine specialist at Scripps Health in San Diego, will perform knee surgery on San Diego Padres pitcher Joe Thatcher, according to an MLB report.
Following the patellar tendon debridement surgery, Mr. Thatcher will be in a leg brace for one month.
