Marc J. Philippon, MD, of The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., has performed hip surgery on Seattle Storm point guard Sue Bird, according to a Lexington Herald-Leader report.
Dr. Philippon performed the procedure to repair a torn labrum in Ms. Bird's left hip. She expected to be out of play for up to 12 weeks.
