Peter McCann, MD, is the editor-in-chief of The American Journal of Orthopedics. He is the chair of the orthopedic surgery department and an attending orthopedic surgeon at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. He also serves as a professor of clinical surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva in the Bronx, N.Y. Dr. McCann is a founding member of The Insall Scott Kelly Institute for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery.

Jeffrey Fischgrund, MD, is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Fischgrund is an orthopedic spine surgeon in practice in Southfield, Mich. He also serves as a professor at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Rochester, Mich. Dr. Fischgrund has expertise in spine trauma and reconstructive spine surgery.

Vernon Tolo, MD, is the editor-in-chief of The Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery. Dr. Tolo serves as the chief of orthopedics at the Children's Orthopaedic Center in Los Angeles. He is also the John C. Wilson, Jr., Professor of Orthopaedics at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He has previously served as the president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North American, Orthopaedic Section of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Scoliosis Research Society. Dr. Tolo has expertise in spinal deformity, hip disorders and skeletal dysplasia.

Anish Raj Kadakia, MD, is the editor-in-chief of Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research. Dr. Kadakia is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery. He is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Kadakia has authored several book chapters and lectures both nationally and internationally.   

Bruce Reider, MD, is the editor-in-chief of the Orthopaedic Journal of Sports Medicine. He has also served as the editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Sports Medicine. Dr. Reider has expertise in knee surgery. Dr. Reider is a professor of surgery in the orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation medicine section at the University of Chicago Hospitals. He currently serves on the board of directors of the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine.

David Fardon, MD, is the editor-in-chief of the Rush Orthopedics Journal. Dr. Fardon practices with Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush and serves as an assistant professor at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. He is an orthopedic surgeon with a specialty in the treatment of spine and neck injuries. Previously, he has served as the president of the North American Spine Society and earned the NASS Selby Award for Outstanding Contributions to Spine Care.

Roy Sanders, MD, is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma. Dr. Sanders is the president Florida Orthopaedic Institute and director of the Orthopaedic Trauma Service, both in Tampa. He also serves as the director of orthopedic trauma service and chief of the orthopedics department at Tampa General Hospital. He specializes in foot and ankle surgery, trauma and posttraumatic reconstruction. Dr. Sanders designed a DePuy Orthopedics plating system for extremity fractures and a Smith & Nephew nailing system. Previously, he has served as chairman of the committee on trauma for the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

William Mallon, MD, is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. Dr. Mallon, an orthopedic surgeon with expertise in shoulder and elbow surgery, practices with Triangle Orthopaedic Associates in Durham, N.C. He also serves as the vice president of American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons. He is a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Society and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Gary G. Poehling, MD, is the editor-in-chief of Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery. Dr. Poehling is an assistant professor of orthopedics at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C. He has expertise in sports medicine, arthroscopy, total joint replacement, lower extremity trauma and shoulder, knee, wrist and hand injuries. He is a member of several societies including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and International Society for Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

William Hozack, MD, is the editor-in-chief of The Journal of Arthroplasty. Dr. Hozack is an orthopedic surgeon with a specialty in knee and hip surgery. He currently serves as a professor of orthopedic surgery at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He belongs to several societies including the Orthopedic Research Society, Hip Society and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
