The American College of Sports Medicine has appointed William Dexter, MD, FACSM, its president. Dr. Dexter is the director of sports medicine at Maine Medical Center in Portland and a professor of family medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston.
Dr. Dexter succeeds Janet Walberg Rankin, PhD, FACSM, as president of the American College of Sports Medicine.
