The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine has announced that it will be presenting 10 research awards and seven grants at its annual meeting from July 11 to 14 in Chicago.
Grant recipients include:
• Ermias Abebe, MD, of the University of Pittsburgh: 2013 AOSSM Young Investigators Grant
• E. Todd Schroeder, PhD, of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles: 2013 AOSSM Sandy Kirkley Clinical Outcomes Research Grant
• Asheesh Bedi, MD, of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor: 2013 AOSSM/Sanofi Biosurgery Osteoarthritis Grant
• Alfred Atanda, MD, of A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Del., with Minider Kocher, MD, PhD, of Boston Children's Hospital, Joseph DeAngelis, MD, of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston with Warren Dunn, MD, MPH, of the University of Wisconsin in Madison and Cory Edgar, MD, PhD, of Boston University with Kurt Spindler, MD, of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn.: 2013 AOSSM/ConMed Linvatec Research Mentoring Program
• Alexander Scott, PhD: AOSSM/RTI Biologics Three-Year Research Initiative Grant
Each year AOSSM provides more than $350,000 for research projects and initiatives.
