University at Buffalo Names Dr. Leslie Bisson Orthopedics Department Chair

Orthopedic Sports Medicine

The University at Buffalo (N.Y.) has named Leslie J. Bisson, MD, as the inaugural June A. and Eugene R. Mindell, MD, professor and chair of orthopedics.

Dr. Bisson joined the UB School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2007. He also directs the university's orthopedic sports medicine fellowship. Dr. Bisson is medical director for the Buffalo Sabres, team physician for the Buffalo Bills and medical director of the World Junior Hockey Championships.

 

Dr. Bisson earned his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. He completed his residency at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York and completed his sports medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Ala.
