Christus St. Mary's Sports Medicine Center, an outpatient facility focused on concussion care and sports medicine-related physical therapy, has opened in Port Arthur, Texas, according to a report by Port Arthur The News.
Jack Johnston, MD, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, first suggested the need for the center when he saw a growing demand for local concussion care.
Kimberly Pitts, MD, board-certified pediatric physician, will serve as the new center's concussion director.
