Dr. Nathaniel Jones to serve as US Under-23 Women's Soccer Team physician — 3 highlights

U.S. Soccer's under-23 women's team selected Nathaniel S. Jones, MD, to serve as their team physician in the Nordic Tournament.

Here are three highlights:

 

1. Dr. Jones previously served as U.S. Soccer's under-20 men's team during their 2012 tournament in Spain and was also one of the team physicians for the U.S. men's soccer team during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

 

2. Dr. Jones is a family medicine physician who specializes in sports medicine.

 

3. Dr. Jones earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City and completed his residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He completed his primary care sports medicine fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin/Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
