Travis Maak, MD, and Charles L. Saltzman, MD, performed knee and ankle surgery on Utah Jazz guard Alec Burks, according to an NBA report.

1. The physicians performed arthroscopic surgery to clean out debris from Mr. Burks left knee and ankle.
2. Surgeons expect Mr. Burks to recover before 2016-2017 training camp for the team.
3. Dr. Maak is the head orthopedic team physician for the Utah Jazz and an assistant professor in the department of orthopedics at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
4. Dr. Maak completed a sports medicine and shoulder surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
5. Dr. Saltzman is the chairman of the orthopedics department at the University of Utah Health Care in Salt Lake City.
6. Dr. Saltzman is a past president of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
