Charlotte, N.C.-based OrthoCarolina named Bruce Cohen, MD, CEO.

1. Dr. Cohen is a foot and ankle surgeon who has been with OrthoCarolina since its founding in 2005.
2. Dr. Cohen has served in numerous leadership roles at OrthoCarolina, including serving as board of directors' vice chairman and chair of the Operations Committee.
3. Dr. Cohen has also served as director of the OrthoCarolina Foot and Ankle Fellowship and subspecialty chief for the orthopedics department at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
4. He currently chairs the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society's Education Committee.
5. Dr. Cohen will continue his foot and ankle practice when he takes on the CEO position.
6. OrthoCarolina's former CEO Daniel Murrey, MD, is leaving the post to lead Transformant Healthcare Solutions, a new company providing management services to private physician groups.
