On June 9, New York-Presbyterian/Queens officially opened its new Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center in Queens.

Here are four takeaways:

 

1. The facility's new services include patient consultations, outpatient surgery, rehabilitation therapy, occupational therapy and neurology services, among others.

 

2. The facility will also provide ultrasound guided injections and bone marrow transplants.

 

3. Jeffrey E. Rosen, MD, will serve as NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens orthopedics and rehabilitation department's chairman.

 

4. Dr. Rosen earned his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City and completed his residency at New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases, also in New York City. He underwent his fellowship at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
