Mount Sinai to serve an ace at US Open: 5 highlights on the tournament's medical services

New York City-based Mount Sinai will be the U.S. Open's Official Medical Services Provider.

Here are five highlights:

 

1. This is the fourth consecutive year Mount Sinai will provide medical services at the U.S. Open.

 

2. Orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians and radiologists will provide medical services at the tournament.

 

3. Mount Sinai St. Luke's, Mount Sinai Roosevelt, The Mount Sinai Hospital and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai will send providers to the tournament.

 

4. Alexis Chiang Colvin, MD, sports medicine associate professor at Icahn School of Medicine, serves as the U.S. Tennis Association's chief medical officer.

 

5. James Gladstone, MD, co-chief of sports medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital and orthopedic surgery associate professor at Icahn School of Medicine, will serve as a consultant to the U.S. Open.
