Dr. Neal ElAttrache performs knee surgery on Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin: 4 takeaways

The Los Angeles Clippers will be without their star forward Blake Griffin after Neal ElAttrache, MD, performed arthroscopic knee surgery on his right knee.

Here's what you should know.

 

1. Mr. Griffin had several loose bodies removed from his right knee. It's expected he will miss four to six week.

 

2. Steve Shimoyama, MD, assisted Dr. ElAttrache. Both physicians work out of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles.

 

3. Dr. ElAttrache is the chairman of the board and program director for the Kerlan-Jobe fellowship.

 

4. He is the team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and an orthopedic consultant to the Anaheim Ducks, St. Louis Rams, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Kings and the PGA Tour.
