Glenn Terry, MD, of Columbus, Ga.-based Hughston Sports Medicine Clinic and James Andrews, MD, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.-based Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine are treating elite athletes with a stem cell treatment.

1. The treatments are being administered at a facility in the Caribbean in collaboration with Global Alliance for Regenerative Medicine.
2. Patients' own adipose tissue is used to perform the regenerative medicine treatment.
3. Over 500 million stem cells are used per treatment.
4. The treatments are performed in one setting.
5. The therapy may treat joint arthritis, knee meniscal tears, degenerative disc disease, ligament sprains, rotator cuff injuries and other sports injuries.
6. Dr. Terry is a former head U.S. Olympic physician.
7. Dr. Andrews has trained hundreds of orthopedic surgeons and specializes in sports medicine.
