Royals' pitcher Matt Strahm underwent left knee surgery by Timothy Kremchek, MD, according to The Kansas City Star.

1. Mr. Strahm will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn patellar tendon.
2. Mr. Strahm is expected to return for spring training in 2018.
