Marc Philippon, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., recently performed hip surgery on Vancouver Canucks center Ryan Kesler, according to a report from The Vancouver Sun.
Dr. Philippon performed hip labral surgery on Mr. Kesler, who is expected to take 10-12 weeks in recovery before beginning to return to play. Mr. Kesler suffered an injury during the playoffs last season and tried conservative treatment, but ultimately opted for surgery during the off season.

This is the second hip procedure Dr. Philippon has performed for Mr. Kesler.
