NYU Langone Medical Center in New York announced that its orthopedic surgeons and researchers are among the first to start using a new device, called OrthoSensor, to provide real-time data about positioning, balance and tension of ligaments during total knee replacement surgery.

Orthopedic surgeon Joshua Lindsey, MD, will join the medical staff at Southwest Health Center in Platteville, Wis., in 2014, according to a SWNews4U.
