St. Louis-based Mercy has inked a deal with the St. Louis Cardinals to become the official medical provider for the team.

Riico Dotson, MD, an orthopedic surgeon and medical director of the sports medicine program at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital, has been elected to the Mercy Foundation North Board of Trustees, according to a foundation news release.

Marc W. Hungerford, MD, director of joint replacement and reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore recently became the first orthopedic surgeon to perform the MAKOplasty partial knee resurfacing procedure using the RIO Robotic Arm in the state of Maryland, according to a hospital news release.
