DePuy Orthopaedics recently received FDA 510(k) clearance on the RECLAIM revision hip system and for GRIPTION titanium foam implants, according to two company news releases.
The RECLAIM system includes instrumentation that is designed to improve intraoperative handling, flexibility and efficiency. The modularity of the system also allows surgeons several options for treating patient's individual pathology.
The GRIPTION acetabular augmentation system for hip replacement surgery and the GRIPTION cones for knee replacement surgery offer implants made entirely from the proprietary GRIPTION technology. The technology offers a highly porous structure made from pure titanium.
The acetabular augmentation system fills the gap between the acetabular bone and cup in patients with severe bone defects. The knee replacement system can be used with the tibial or femoral component in patients with marked bone loss.
