Nurses spend a considerable amount of time with patients. Nurses that pay close attention to patients and their symptoms can recommend treatments to physicians and discuss further testing with physicians before possibly unnecessary scans, labs, tests or medications are ordered.
Nurses are able to offer a helping hand in minimizing healthcare costs without negatively affecting patient care.
