Medscape surveyed physicians to determine the best and work states to practice in its Best & Worst Places to Practice 2018: Happiness in Work and Home Life report. The survey compared average population lifespan, cost of living, higher education levels, median earnings, unemployment, tax burden, public health rates and personal well-being.
