A recent KLAS report found athenahealth, provider of cloud-based services and mobile tools for medical groups and health system, is viewed more favorably than any other vendor in terms of interoperability. The report surveyed more than 240 providers, according to Nasdaq.

1. Providers claimed athenahealth's interoperability platform is easy to set up and maintain.
2. The vendor was recognized as the best-value connection for enhancing patient care and was ranked as the easiest vendor with which to connect.
3. athenahealth also was praised for delivering simple and complex connections with low integration costs.
4. Chairman and CEO of athenahealth, Jonathan Bush, said, "We are committed to making meaningful information sharing inherent in health care regardless of the IT systems in place. Information must follow the patient and inform the provider across the care continuum. We will continue to innovate and remain transparent on this very important issue."
5. athenahealth connects care for more than 67,000 providers and allows for more than 2.5 billion transactions each year across an open network of more than 95,000 electronic global trading partners.
