Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health plans to open a new orthopedic clinic in Beaufort, S.C., according to a March 20 report from Bluffton Today.
It will also add two new orthopedic surgeons, Edward Blocker, MD, and Kevin Jones, MD, who will see patients primarily at the new location, Novant Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.
Dr. Blocker specializes in lower extremity arthritis and joint replacement surgery, while Dr. Jones specializes in hip and knee arthritis. Both physicians have been practicing in the area for several years.
The new Novant location has plans to add a third orthopedic surgeon in the near future, according to the report.
Three advanced practice providers will also join Dr. Blocker and Dr. Jones at the facility: Sarah Blau, PA-C, Paul Schaefer, PA-C, and William Schreffler, MSN, APRN.
