Here are 10 hospitals expanding orthopedic services over the past few months.

Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine partnered with Roanoke, Va.-based Carilion Clinic to establish a standalone orthopedics department with shared resources.

 

Southern Michigan Orthopaedics in Battle Creek joined Kalamazoo-based Bronson Healthcare System.

 

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Ky., is partnering with Commonwealth Orthopaedic Center to launch an orthopedic institute that focuses on sports medicine, orthopedic surgery and total joint replacement.

 

The CORE Institute signed a co-management partnership agreement with Providence Hospitals in Novi, Mich., to provide a standard of care based on clinical metrics, standardized protocols, research and expertise.

 

The Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin in Glendale is planning to construct a $6 million medical office building.

Greensburg, Pa.-based Excela Health received a $3 million grant to plan and build an orthopedic treatment center in Hempfield, Pa.

 

Cincinnati-based TriHealth acquired TriState Orthopaedic Treatment Center.
