The Wichita Business Journal recently released its annual list of top physicians in the Wichita, Kan., area. The physicians are determined by peer evaluation and nomination.
Here are the four physicians chosen for orthopedic surgery:
1. Bruce R. Buhr, MD, of Via Christi Clinic, a practice with locations throughout Kansas and Oklahoma. Dr. Buhr specializes in total joint arthroplasty and trauma care.
2. Michael Heggeness, MD, of the Wichita-based Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center.
3. Steven J. Howell, MD, of Kansas Orthopaedic Center, a practice with three offices in Kansas. Dr. Howell specializes in foot and ankle surgery.
4. James Joseph, MD, of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at Cypress, a practice with four offices in Kansas. Dr. Joseph specializes in hip and knee total joint reconstruction.
