Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Christopher Chiodo of Brigham and Women’s Hospital

Christopher Chiodo, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Boston-based Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Dr. Chiodo is the hospital’s foot and ankle division chief. He served a two-year term as the 2,100-member American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society’s board member-at-large.

Dr. Chiodo is also a Boston-based Harvard Medical School instructor and the Massachusetts Orthopaedic Association’s past president.

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons bestowed its Achievement Award upon Dr. Chiodo. 

He has served as an editor for professional publications including Foot and Ankle International and Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Dr. Chiodo attended Harvard Medical School before undergoing residencies through Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program. He completed fellowship training at Baltimore-based Union Memorial Hospital.
