Dr. Donald Ozumba sentenced to 10 years in prison: 4 things to know

Orthopedic surgeon Donald Ozumba, MD, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexually assaulting an elderly patient, according to NBCDFW.com.

Here are four things to know:

1. The Texas Medical Board accused Dr. Ozumba of sexually assaulting nine patients and engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior with four others. Six other sexual assault cases are pending against Dr. Ozumba.

2. The Texas Medical Board suspended Dr. Ozumba's license within a week of his 2017 arrest.

3. In the criminal trial, a 73-year-old woman testified Dr. Ozumba assaulted her during a 2016 office visit in McKinney, Texas.

4. Three other women testified that Dr. Ozumba sexually assaulted them under the guise of medical treatment.
