Below is a list of 10 sports medicine leaders who have made a positive impact on their organizations and have their sights set on future growth.

Adam Pasternak, DO. AdventHealth Medical Group (Miami). Dr. Pasternak is a family medicine and sports medicine physician at AdventHealth Medical Group. He provides treatments for management of acute and chronic disease, non-operative musculoskeletal injuries and joint injections. Dr. Pasternak previously served at Mercy Clinic Sports Medicine as a physician for high school, college and professional sports. 

Adam Rivadeneyra, MD. Hoag Orthopedic Institute (Irvine, Calif.). Dr. Rivadeneyra is a sports medicine physician at Hoag Orthopedic Institute. He specializes in non-surgical orthopedics and sports medicine. Dr. Rivadeneyra has served as a team physician for multiple professional and collegiate sports programs, including the football, baseball, basketball, track and field, tennis, volleyball, and soccer teams at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.

Adam Yanke, MD, PhD. Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush (Chicago). Dr. Yanke is a sports medicine orthopedic surgeon at Midwest Orthopedics at Rush. He has clinical interests in advanced arthroscopy, shoulder replacement, patellofemoral dysfunction and cartilage restoration. Dr. Yanke is also a member of the International Cartilage Repair Society. 

Andrew Le, DO. MemorialCare (Fountain Valley, Calif.). Dr. Le has been a sports medicine physician at MemorialCare since 2021. He has interests in diagnostic and interventional ultrasound, orthobiologics, percutaneous tenotomy, barbotage, peripheral nerve hydrodissection, management of chronic tendinopathy and arthritis. Dr. Le has also served as a team physician at Santa Monica College and California State University, Los Angeles. 

Alex Brown, MD. Southeast Orthopedic Specialists (Jacksonville, Fla.). Dr. Brown is a sports medicine specialist at Southeast Orthopedic Specialists. In addition to sports medicine, he specializes in internal medicine, fractures, sprains and strains. Dr. Brown is also a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine and the American College of Physicians.

Xander Arwand, DO. Lehigh Valley Health Network (Allentown, Pa.). Dr. Arwand is a sports medicine specialist at Lehigh Valley Health Network. He provides treatment for anterior cruciate ligament injuries, arthritis, back and neck pain, foot and ankle injuries, joint pain and carpal tunnel syndrome. Dr. Arwand also serves as a team physician for his high school sports programs. 

Alexander Schoofs, MD. Liberty (Miss.) Hospital. Dr. Schoofs is a sports medicine physician at Liberty Hospital. He has special interests in treating shoulder, hip and knee pain. Dr. Schoofs also received aerospace medical training at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, Fla..

Amy Sucheski-Drake, MD. Cornell Health (Ithaca, N.Y.). Dr. Sucheski-Drake has been a sports medicine physician at Cornell Health since 2017. She also serves as clinical director of sports medicine. Dr. Sucheski-Drake is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine, the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine.

Amanda Fletcher. Scottish Rite for Children (Dallas). Ms. Fletcher has been a pediatric and sports medicine nurse practitioner at Scottish Rite since 2014. She is responsible for ordering and reviewing X-rays, performing physical exams and providing recommendations to the patient and team for future care. Ms. Fletcher also assists in the operating room, preparing grafts, holding retractors, passing instruments, closing incisions and applying braces and splints.  

Asim Merchant, MD. University of Florida Health (Gainesville). Dr. Merchant has been a primary care sports medicine specialist at University of Florida Health since 2016. He has interests in resident education, sports medicine, concussion management and medical education. Dr. Merchant also serves as an assistant professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
