Meet the head orthopedic surgeons for the world's 25 most profitable sports teams

National Football League team the Dallas Cowboys has pocketed $1.7 billion over the last three years, making it the most profitable sports team in the world with a net worth of $8 billion, according to a June 2 report from Forbes.

Here are the head orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine providers for the world's 25 most profitable sports teams: 

1. Dallas Cowboys (NFL): Daniel Cooper, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Dallas-based Carrell Clinic.

2. New England Patriots (NFL): Mark Price, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Boston-based Massachusetts General Hospital.  

3. Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (English Premier League): Geoff Scott is the head of medicine and sports science for the Hotspurs. 

4.  New York Knicks (National Basketball Association): Answorth Allen, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. 

5. Manchester United (EPL): Jim Moxon, MD, is the interim club physician for Manchester United. 

6. Houston Texans (NFL): Steven Flores, MD, is an assistant professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He is also the head physician for the NBA's Houston Rockets. 

7. Golden State Warriors (NBA): Chris Lehman, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at the Permanente Medical Group  in Oakland, Calif. 

8. Los Angeles Lakers (NBA): Kristofer Jones, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Los Angeles-based Westwood Orthopedic Surgery.
