The Herbert J. Louis Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at Phoenix Children's added Maegen Wallace, MD, to its orthopedic surgery staff.

Dr. Wallace, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and osteogenesis imperfecta, or brittle bone disease expert, previously served as the Dr. Paul and Bernadette Esposito Endowed Chair in Pediatric Bone Disorders at Children's Hospital and Medical Center in Omaha, Neb., according to a Sept. 11 news release from Phoenix Children's.

In her new role, Dr. Wallace will focus on lower-extremity issues, osteogenesis imperfecta and other rare skeletal diseases while working to define best clinical practices and discover new treatments for patients with brittle bone disease, according to the release.
