A class action lawsuit against Exeter, N.H.-based Access Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics for a data breach that impacted nearly 90,000 patients has been dropped, according to a Nov. 13 report from Bloomberg Law.
The data breach was discovered in May, and on May 10, Access took measures to secure their systems.
Patient information including names, dates of birth, medical information and Social Security numbers may have been accessed for tens of thousands of patients.
Plaintiff Cameron Lafontaine, who first sued Access Sports in September, dismissed all claims on Nov. 12, according to a notice filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire.
Counsel for the parties didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment, according to the report.
