84% of hospitals using Force Therapeutics meet CMS requirements for total joint patients

The majority of hospitals leveraging Force Therapeutics’ patient engagement platform have been able to avoid costly CMS penalties related to data collection, according to a March 20 news release.

Eighty-four percent of hospitals using the tool are on track to meet CMS’ requirements for total hip and knee replacement outcome measurements ahead of the first mandatory reporting deadline in September. 

CMS’ Total Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Patient-Reported Outcome – Performance Measure  is part of its shift from fee-for-service to value-based care.
