Leigh Curl, MD, team orthopedist for the Baltimore Ravens, has been named NFL team physician of the year.
The NFL Physicians Society annually awards an NFL team physician who has “made the greatest contributions to both the NFL and the profession of athletic training,” according to a Feb. 27 news release.
Dr. Curl has been a team physician for the Ravens since 1998. She serves as chief of orthopedics at MedStar Harbor Hospital in Baltimore. She is also a former president of NFLPS and a former collegiate athlete.
