Thierry Pauyo, MD, has performed knee surgery on Montreal Canadiens center Kirby Dach, according to a Feb. 28 news release from the NHL.
Mr. Dach had surgery on the same knee in 2023, according to a March 3 report from The Athletic.
He is expected to miss the rest of the season but will return to the ice in 2026.
Dr. Pauyo is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at Shriners Children’s in Montreal. He is also an assistant professor at Montreal-based McGill University in sports medicine and pediatric orthopedic surgery and is the orthopedic sports medicine physician for the Canadiens.
