Question: What is one personal goal you have in 2025 that you believe will help you professionally?
Daniel Acevedo, MD. Orthopedic Surgeon and Shoulder and Elbow Specialist at DISC Surgery Center Thousand Oaks (Calif.): In 2025, my personal goal is to optimize my own health through consistent exercise and improved nutrition. As surgeons, we often overlook our own wellness, but I believe leading by example is powerful. By prioritizing my health, I aim to better understand and implement evidence-based strategies that can benefit my patients. This journey allows me to share both scientific insights and personal experience, helping patients improve surgical outcomes through lifestyle, nutrition, and recovery-focused care.
