Gregory C. Mallo, MD, FAAOS, recently joined Orthopedic Associates of Long Island in New York.
Here are six notes:
1. Dr. Mallo specializes in shoulder reconstruction and arthroscopy of the shoulder and knee.
2. He previously served as a medical officer in the United States Navy and administered care for injured U.S. Marines and Sailors.
3. Dr. Mallo was one out of four surgeons in the United States selected for the Advanced Arthroscopy Traveling Fellowship program by the Arthroscopy Association of North America in 2014.
4. He completed a shoulder reconstruction and arthroscopy fellowship at The Boston Shoulder Institute, affiliated with Harvard University.
5. Additionally, Dr. Mallo completed a fellowship as an international visiting shoulder fellow in Annecy, France at the Alps Surgical Institute.
6. Dr. Mallo has authored various peer-reviewed articles in publications including the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. He co-authored a book chapter about shoulder instability and a comprehensive review on superior labrum anterior to posterior tears with Matthew Provencher, MD.
