Two orthopedic drills joined the Wyoming Medical Center's equipment inventory, according to the Wyoming Business Report.

1. Wyoming Medical Center in Casper bought two IntelliSense Drills from McGinley Orthopaedic Innovations, also based in Casper.
2. Wyoming Medical's Advantage Orthopedics surgeons will use the drills.
3. Wyoming Medical is the first hospital to use the drills on adult patients.
4. Joseph McGinley, MD, created the drill, which is used for bone-drilling surgery.
5. Intended to decrease surgery time, the drill ceases before completely puncturing the bone, avoiding soft tissue damage.
6. A computer on the drill alerts surgeons of the penetration depth, quickening surgery time.
