Robert R. Bell, MD, has joined Orthopedic Associates as its new hand and upper extremity surgeon.
Here are five things to know:
1. Orthopedic Associates is a medical practice consisting of seven board-certified orthopedic surgeons and specialists.
2. Dr. Bell is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in treating adults' orthopedic problems from the shoulder to the hand. He is on staff at Des Peres Square Surgery Center and Missouri Baptist Medical Center, both located in St. Louis.
3. Dr. Bell has over 20 years of experience, and he previously worked with an orthopedic group in Texas and served as a team physician for universities in Alabama, Texas and Virginia.
4. He completed his fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery from the combined program of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va., and the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Ala.
5. Dr. Bell is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Association of Hand Surgeons.
