Dr. McAllister’s clinical interests include conditions of the Achilles tendon, ankle, knee, shoulder and elbow. He has expertise in arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction and rotator cuff repair. His research centers on knee ligament reconstruction, biomechanics, tissue engineering as well as new methods of PCL and PLC reconstruction. He has served as a visiting professor the 1st Annual Aspetar Arabian Gulf Sports Medicine Meeting in 2008. He won the Best Poster Award at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System’s Annual Research Day.
Dr. McAllister earned his medical degree at the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus. He completed his residency at University of California, Irvine and his sports medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
