Dr. Myers has successfully performed three hip replacement procedures using HipInsight, which combines real and virtual elements to create an “X-ray” effect, according to a news release from the health system. This allows surgeons to see instruments, anatomy and implants in real time during partial or full hip arthroplasty.

Dr. Myers is currently using the technology on a case-by-case basis, particularly for those who have a more bony anatomy or have had hip replacements in the past.
