Nemours Children's Health System buys 3rd EOS imagine device — 5 details

Spinal Tech

Paris-based EOS imaging has sold an EOS x-ray system to Orlando, Fla.-based Nemours Children's Hospital after two previous sales to the Jacksonville, Fla.-based health system.

Here are five things to know:

1. The first two EOS systems were first purchased by Wilmington, Del.-based Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children and Jacksonville, Fla.-based Nemours Children's Specialty Care.

2. The EOS imaging emits less radiation exposure than other x-ray equipment and offers better quality images of the spine and limbs in a standing position.

3. The seconds-long process gives physicians the chance to view and study the spine in three different positions.

4. EOS CEO Marie Meynadier said, "Nemours has been at the forefront of advocating low dose 3D imaging, and the Wilmington location was also recently the first in the U.S. to use our new EOS chair for non-ambulatory patient imaging."

5. Nemours Children's Health System operates clinics in Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
