Momentum Health earned FDA 510(k) clearance for Momentum Spine, an artificial intelligence-powered app for spine care.
The app is designed to help patients quantify postural asymmetries, including scoliosis, the company said in a Feb. 15 news release. The app already has Health Canada class 1 medical device clearance.
Momentum Spine creates a 3D model of the torso from a video and uses AI to quantify asymmetries. It also provides real-time measurements such as shoulder symmetry, waist asymmetry and trunk shift.
