How Orthofix paid its current, former executives

Orthofix's new CEO Massimo Calafiore started his new role Jan. 8 with an annual base salary of $825,000, according to the company's April 29 proxy statement.

Along with his salary Mr. Calafiore has a target bonus of 110% of salary and target long-term incentives of $4 million, the proxy statement said. He also received sign-on equity incentive awards of $3.5 million.

CFO Julie Andrews was appointed Jan. 15 with a base salary of $475,000, a target bonus of 70% of salary and target long-term incentives of $1.8 million. 

Chief Legal Officer Andres Cedrón was appointed April 15 with a base salary of $470,000, a target bonus of 70% of salary and target long-term incentives of $1.5 million.

Mr. Calafiore, Ms. Andrews and Mr. Cedrón replaced former CEO Keith Valentine, former CFO John Bostjancic and former Chief Legal Officer Patrick Keran. 

In 2023, Mr. Valentine earned a total compensation of $6.5 million. Mr. Bostjancic and Mr. Keran both earned $1.8 million in total compensation in 2023.
