From leadership shuffles and product debuts, here are eight key updates from spine and orthopedic devicemakers since April 9.

1. Think Surgical’s TMINI robot was used in its first case with Maxx Orthopedics’ Freedom total knee implant.

2. Interim data from Spineart’s Baguera-C investigational device study found the disc, in two-level cases, meets the threshold for a non-inferiority claim against the study control.

3. Spinal Simplicity’s Minuteman G5 device was used for the first time in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The milestone is a step forward in Spinal Simplicity’s global expansion, and the procedure was performed by Mohammed Al-Jumaily in collaboration with Dr. Ayman Aziza.

4. Curiteva’s Inspire 3D-printed cervical spine implant has been used in more than 5,000 levels.

5. James Snow, a board member with Aurora Spine, is resigning to take the role of regulatory affairs and quality assurance manager.

6. Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy is the first practice in the world to use EOS Insight, an artificial intelligence-powered spine system from Alphatec.

7. Spine devicemaker 4WEB Medical reached 100,000 cases using its proprietary Truss implant technology.

8. Intrinsic Therapeutics, which developed the Barricaid spine procedure, named Keith Valentine as president and CEO.
