Zimmer Biomet's artificial intelligence technology for its Omni Suite operating room platform debuted.
The AI features use cameras to recognize and time-stamp key workflow markers in the operation room, including patient entry and exit, door count, surgery and cleaning, according to a May 10 news release. Surgical teams are guided to optimize workflow based on real-time metrics.
Omni Suite's AI adds to the capabilities of ZBEdge, a platform for digital and robotic technologies.
