Medacta grows revenue 16.2% year over year: 8 notes

Spine and orthopedic company Medacta celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024, on top of seeing a 16.2% increase in revenue.

Here are eight things to know about Medacta’s 2024 revenue, according to a March 25 news release sent to Becker’s

1. In September, the company launched its NextAR Rod Optimizer, which is designed to enhance intraoperative planning and to provide real-time selection from a set of prebent rods in both, minimally invasive and open approaches.

2. In the U.S., the first anatomic shoulder cases utilizing the NextAR, augmented reality surgical application in combination with the Medacta shoulder system were completed.

3. Hip revenues increased by 8.3%.

4. Knee revenues rose by 21.9%.

5. Extremities, which include both shoulder and sportsmed, saw revenue grow 38.8%.

6. Gross profit expanded 14.8%. 

7. Spine revenues expanded by 13.4%.

8. The company is targeting a revenue growth in the range of 13% to 15% in 2025.
