Timothy Bassett, MD, is a fellowship trained spine surgeon at SouthEastern Spine & Joint Specialists with more than 18 years of experience in the field.
Dr. Bassett treats acute cervical and lumbar disc herniations, instabilities, stenosis and many other disorders of the spine. He specialized in artificial disc replacements and minimally invasive surgeries. He has hospital affiliations at DCH Regional Hospital and the Northport-DCH Medical Center.
For his education, Dr. Bassett earned his medical degree from the University of Florida. He had an internship and his residency at the University of South Carolina. His fellowship in adult and pediatric spinal disorders and reconstruction was completed at the University of Wisconsin.
Dr. Bassett is a member of several professional organizations including the North American Spine Society and the Alabama Orthopaedic Society.
