Dr. Silvaggio also serves as the chairman of orthopedics at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital. He received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and underwent spine surgery fellowship training at UPMC and Three Rivers Orthopedic Associates.
He serves on American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ spine subcommittee. Dr. Silvaggio gives orthopedic lectures at several events and serves on the board of directors for the UPMC St. Margaret Foundation and the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.
