Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. John Rhee of Emory Healthcare

John Rhee, MD, is a spine surgeon at Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare.

He specializes in cervical spine surgery, lumbar spine surgery, spinal deformity and spinal tumors. He’s a nationally recognized teacher and lecturer and has served as program chair at multiple national and international spine surgery meetings.

Dr. Rhee was named among “Top 28 spine surgeons in North America” by Orthopaedics This Week in 2013. He has also received awards for his cervical spine research.

He received his medical degree and completed a residency and internship at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. He completed an orthopedic surgery fellowship at Barnes Jewish Hospital at Washington University at St. Louis.
